La Iglesia católica en América Latina ha marcado con su impronta las identidades nacionales. Sin embargo, el resquebrajamiento de la hegemonía católica está modificando de manera notable no sólo la geografía religiosa sino también el mapa político y cultural de América Latina.

The catholic Church in Latin America has marked wíth his seal the national identities. Nevertheless, the cracking of the catholic hegemony is modifying in remarkable ways the religious geography and the political and cultural map of Latin America.
