• Resumen

  Desde un enfoque microhistórico, se analiza la conformación en la ciudad de Guatemala (alrededor del arzobispo), y en El Salvador (en torno a José M. Delgado), de micro-redes de poder que libraron una guerra sin tregua para alcanzar sus respectivos objetivos políticos, que no eran opuestos a la creación de una Federación en Améric a Central. Al revisar la acción pública de los "grupos criollos", se tienen en cuenta los acontecimientos históricos -identificando las alianzas políticas y sociales haciendo énfasis en ¡as consecuencias que tuvo en el Reino de Guatemala la ruptura con la "madre patria". Esta ruptura implicó la difícil tarea de pensar un nuevo sistema político que tuviera en cuenta el catolicismo y que abandonara la monarquía. Esta fuerza heredada de la relación Iglesia-Estado explica por qué una cuestión religiosa podía desembocar rápidamente en una crisis política.

• Abstract

  From a microhistorical approach, títere is analyzed the conformation of social and political micronetworks in the city of Guatemala (around the archbishop), and in El Salvador (around José M. Delgado), that waged wa r without truce to reach their respective political objectives, that were not opposed to the creation of a Federation in Central America. Reviewing the public action of the "Creóle groups", it takes into account the histórica! events -identifying the political and social alliances making emphasis in the consequences that the rupture with the "mother country" had in the Kingdom of Guatemala. This rupture implied the difficult task of thinking a new political system that considers the catholicism and that left behind the monarchy. This inherited forcé of the Catholic Church-State relation explains why a religious question could end quickly at a political crisis.
