• Resumen

  El propósito de este artículo es indagar sobre la lógica de la construcción de la santidad dentro del catolicismo romano. El universo de análisis está constituido por los candidatos a la santidad presentados por la Iglesia católica argentina en el curso del siglo XX y comienzos del XXI. El eje del análisis lo constituye la construcción de la biografía del santo, que si bien siempre tuvo un lugar relevante en los procesos de canonización, con las actuales normas vaticanas se acentuó su papel. A partir de una concepción de la santidad donde el cuerpo ocupa un lugar central, el relato biográfico continúa marcando la transformación del candidato a la santidad en una victima sacrificial. La santidad implica la inmolación de un ser humano que apacigua al Padre tiránico y feroz y convoca al Padre bueno y justo que protege y reconforta.

• Abstract

  The aim of this article is to inquire about the logic in the construction of the holiness inside the Román Catholicism. The universe of our analysis compases the candidates to holiness presented by the Argentine Catholic Church during the 20!h century and the beginnings of the 21st. The axis of the analysis is the construction of the biography of the Saint. And, if the biography had always a prominent place in the processes of canonization, present Vatican norms emphasize its roll. Starting from a conception of holiness whére the body occupies a central place, biogranhic aceount continúes marking the transformation of candidate to holiness in a sacrificial victim. Holiness impiicates the immolation of a human being to appease to a ferocious and tyrarinical Father and the convocation to the good andjust Father that prótect and consolé.
