• Resumen

  Se tratará de observar la progresiva aparición, en los textos coloniales, de las categorías de clasificación - "naciones", "parcialidades" o nombres totalizantes del tipo "calchaquí", "diaguita", "pulares"- y de ver en qué medida esos apelativos, lejos de reproducir algo como un panorama étnico, reflejan primero la organización de la frontera colonial, su evolución y sus necesidades. Se seguirá por lo tanto los sucesivos avatares de dichos apelativos, desde sus primeras ocurrencias hasta su "naturalización" en un discurso científico de corte antropológico que sí pretende llegar a una reja étnica positiva, acabando así el proceso de etnificación emprendido por el discurso de la conquista.

• Abstract

  One will be to observe the progressive appearance, in colonia! texts, of fhe categories of classification - "naciones", "parcialidades"- or categorical ñames of the type "calchaquí", "diaguita", "pulares"- In addition to see to what extent those ñames, far from reproducing something like an ethnic panorama, reflect the fírst organization of the colonial border, her evoiution and its necessities. One will follow therefore the successive ups and downs of these ñames, from his fírst occurrences to its "naturalization" in a scientific speech of anthropological cut that yes it tries to arrive at positive an ethnic grate, finishing therefore the process of etnificación undertaken by the speech of the conquest.
