The Seré family manor house played a key role as a territorial enclave of the Argentinian civic-military dictatorship since it was one of the clandestine centers of detention. On March 24, 1978, four detainees escaped from this center and, after that, armed forces dismantled and burned the site in order to erase the marks of its repressive use. This paper analyzes the local scale effects of Seré manor house socio-spatial uses on its neighbors and their daily activities. We will examine the architectural and material spatiality, power territorialities and uses of the manor´s inside and outside spaces by repressive forces during 1977 and 1978, and after that by civilian neighbors.
